UQ named as solar leader among Australian universities

It’s official: The University of Queensland is winning the PV solar race! The Clean Energy Finance Corporation has just released its Clean Energy Opportunities for Universities report, which explores how Australian universities can implement various clean energy technologies in order to reduce their energy usage; the report identifies UQ as a clear solar leader.

According to the report, released this month, UQ currently has about 80%, or 5.64 MW, of the 7 MW total solar for the university sector in Australia—more than 10 times as much as the next-closest university. By the end of 2016, UQ’s actual solar capacity will be 5.93 MW.
