With the help of the UQ Green Ambassador Program's Sustainability Council, UQ now has a new recycling station for students and staff.

The drop off station is located in the Kingham Room foyer (Building 21C) and is for hard-to-recycle household items that can’t be recycled though your yellow topped wheelie bin. Items that can be recycled include:

  • Small e-waste
  • Soft plastics
  • Mobile phones
  • Household batteries
  • Printer ink cartridges
  • Oral care products
  • Eye glasses
  • Stationary Items
  • DVD's and CD's
  • Paper

You can bring your hard-to-recycle- household items here, not only throughout Sustainability Week, but every week of the year

Please note: All events and spaces are operating in line with current guidelines. We ask that you please practice social distancing at all times, wear a mask and follow the University's Level 2 post-lockdown restrictions as part of our Business Continuity Plan.
