Vibrant Matter features artwork from the UQ Art collection by Susan Jacobs, Ross Manning, and Simone Slee. Each artwork has been co-produced with the materials they are made from including volcanic rock, industrial detritus and the markings of a snake. By embracing the performative nature of materials, Jacobs, Manning and Slee animate the drama of our tumultuous ecological present: a time when matter means more than ever before.
