We’re proud to showcase and celebrate our community of innovators and leaders that we have seen grow through Ventures programs and activities throughout the year as well as recognise the amazing mentors and partners who have partnered with us.
Get involved Monday 21 August, 11am–3pm for a day of festivities, including startup stalls, food trucks, entertainment, activations and more. Celebrate the year that has been and to learn more about the startups who are accelerating ideas to impact.
Look out for the following start-ups who are making a sustainability impact:
- The 501st- they won UQ Ventures Industry Challenge last year with their innovative solution to create seasonal sorbet flavours using overripe produce.
- The Echo Impact Group - a consultancy co-founded by UQ alumna Ishara Sahama.
About UQ Sustainability Week 2023
Sustainability Week is an opportunity for the UQ community to celebrate and promote sustainability across UQ's campuses and sites. From August 21-25, a range of activities and events are hosted across all areas of the University, including markets, workshops, crafts and DIY, film screenings, specialist presentations, tree plantings, bird watching and garden tours, solar tours, forums and panel discussions, competitions and challenges to inspire sustainable behaviours.
