On the first wednesday of each month the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work hold a UQ Growers and Traders event where staff and students meet to exchange home-grown or homemade produce and goods. Items for swapping usually include home-grown fruit, vegetables and herbs, seedlings and plants, fresh eggs, homemade jams and chutneys, and home-baked goodies.

UQ Growers and Traders events are an awesome way of uniting the UQ community by bringing staff and students together for one common purpose. They help people to forge relationships and to exchange knowledge. They also help to reduce waste by allowing people to share anything they don’t need while also enjoy beautiful, seasonal produce grown and made locally.

Come and visit the stall to  learn about how you can also hold UQ Growers and Traders events in your workplace. Pick up some free herbs from the community garden while you there.
