At the Sustainable Living Fair, you’ll be treated to...
Repair Cafe:
- Do you have an overly loved personal item in need of repair? Threads that need patching up? Bring them to UQ’s Repair Café and they
- will be fixed for free by our fixers.

Turning Trash into Art:
- Drop by Campbell Place and help UQ Engineers without Borders create an art installation while improving awareness of environmental impacts of our waste.

Second-hand jewellery remake session:
- Time: 10am – 2pm
- Upcycle, and repurpose second-hand jewellery to create your own unique designs. All materials will be provided for you but feel free to bring your own preloved jewellery!

Recycle Right Game:
- Come and try our new prize wheel, which displays items of waste that you may be confused about which bin to place them in. Spin the wheel and tell us which bin you think the item belongs in to win a prize!

- Drop by and learn about UQ Growers and Traders events, where staff and students meet to exchange home-grown or homemade produce and goods.

HASS Clothes Swap
- 11-1pm in GCI Room 273
- Bring your old clothes that need a new home and take home someone else’s that need re-loving.
About UQ Sustainability Week 2023
Sustainability Week is an opportunity for the UQ community to celebrate and promote sustainability across UQ's campuses and sites. From August 21-25, a range of activities and events are hosted across all areas of the University, including markets, workshops, crafts and DIY, film screenings, specialist presentations, tree plantings, bird watching and garden tours, solar tours, forums and panel discussions, competitions and challenges to inspire sustainable behaviours.
