Come join the Green Programs of UQ as we hear from Shane Biddle, head of the Grounds team, on how UQ works to share our campus with the beautiful animals that call it home! We’ll learn about the measures in place to protect our native animals from human impacts, how we recovered from the flood impacts in February, and how the lake re-structuring will create a far safer environment for our flora and fauna!

The seminar will end with a Q & A, and an opportunity to give suggestions which will be passed on to Sustainability management.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about UQ’s animals and how they are managed, from the most knowledgeable person on the matter!

About Campus beautification

UQ's beautiful campuses showcase Australia's wildlife and rich biodiversity intermingled with our teaching and research facilities.

We're very proud of our grounds and like to keep our environment looking its best with regular groundskeeping as well as special events to target specific areas.

Throughout the year we have a series of landcare, clean up, tree plantings and bush care regeneration activities drawing groups of volunteers.

All are welcome including staff, students and the broader community.  Come and join us at our next event!
