Clean Up Australia PLOG-A-THON is the perfect way to get out in your local area and get friends or family involved. Join us to clean up and beautify your local area while staying fit and healthy!

What is 'Plogging'?
A portmanteau of "jog" and the Swedish for "pick up",  "plocka upp", it means, you guessed it; to pick up litter as you jog (or plod - walkers are encouraged!). Started by a Swedish community incentive to pick up rubbish in Stockholm this marriage between exercise and environmental action is now a global craze.

How do I get involved?
It's as simple as putting your runners on, grabbing a bag and some gloves and hitting the pavement! You can join Clean Up Australia's official PLOG-A-THON fundraiser. Entry is free, or you can buy their plogging kit which has everything you'll need to get started (gloves, bags, and hand sanitiser). Find out more and register here!
