The latest figures from the UQ Energy team reveal that use of university's electric vehicle chargers is rapidly on the rise.
The solar-powered infrastructure, a state first for Queensland, was installed in March 2016. During their first year of operation, the St Lucia charging stations generated 6,901 kWh and the Gatton charging stations 728 kWh, which equals around 40,000 kms.
Since March 2017, the St Lucia charging stations have generated 13,442 kWh and the Gatton charging stations 1,524 kWh—that's around 75,000 kms, which is almost double last year's figures in just five months!
It's great to see such a strong uptake of this state-of-the-art sustainable technology.
