Join Associate Professor Kristen Lyons as she shares her research and insights into the overlooked impacts of global carbon offset initiatives.
A lot of hope is being invested in carbon offsets as an important market-based strategy to reduce the severity of climate change.
However, the impacts of such initiatives in the Global South are being felt on the local level, as certain countries are expected to carry the disproportionate burden of the limits of these projects.
This session aims to help us better understand the impacts of climate change strategies, to ensure that the ones we pursue are both effective and fair.
